About the Welcome App Germany > Content and use of the system

What does the Welcome App include? How can it be used optimally?

The Welcome App Germany is a cross-platform system that offers an improvement of everyday life for various user groups with the approach of professional IT use. As a mobile solution for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, the Welcome App is available for Android, iOS and Windows - for smartphones and tablets. In addition, the application is available as a version for stationary systems, such as desktop PCs and in particular terminals. Thus, the Welcome App can be used as an information system in municipalities and authorities. The PC version enables consultants in authorities and relief organizations using the Welcome App in discussions since the availability of the app in several languages can often relieve the burden of difficult translators.

In addition to the integration of textual information, the Welcome App is very much based on visual language. Even videos are provided, which help illustrating relevant topics in the simplest way. In the middle of 2016, HeiReS®, owner and developer of the Welcome App Germany, launched the developed web-based content distribution system and made it available to the Welcome App. Since then, cities and counties can comfortably participate in the collection and updating of their local data.

The further course of 2016 has shown that it is not enough to focus on asylum seekers in terms of migration and integration. Germany is traditionally an immigration country, people of many nations live here. Moreover, Germany is an attractive country for several reasons. Either for holidays or business trips, for seasonal work or long-term work as well as for training or studying. The app also contains information and local contacts for these broad-based topics.

In addition, the app has an ever-growing range of languages, appropriately selected according to users' needs. Initial languages were German, Arabic, French, later Russian and Farsi. HeiReS® plans to include Greek, Italian, Turkish, Portuguese, Polish, Romanian, Bulgarian, Japanese, Chinese, Taiwanese as well as Urdu, Pashtu and Tigrinya into the Welcome App.
