Foreigners Registration Office Berlin

In the first weeks of the asylum procedure, asylum seekers are obliged to stay in so-called reception centers. The Federal Office decides which receiving device is responsible for the accommodation while the immigration authorities take care of the provision of the accommodation as well as securing a livelihood. As long as the applicant must reside in reception centers, the Federal Office is also responsible for decisions about their stay.
