Amnesty International

Amnesty International is a non-governmental (NGO) and non-profit organization, which campaigns for human rights worldwide. Their work is based on the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other human rights documents, such as the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The organization researches human rights violations, conducts public relations and lobbying and organizes letters and petitions for all areas of its activity.
